Wow! The biggest weekend of the year is here!! Yippeee!! The weather is hot, the lake is warm, and we are all ready to celebrate our Independence!! All the great things that make for the perfect days of summer. We love our lakes, we enjoy the activity on the lake, the wildlife, our families, friends and neighbors. While we all love to celebrate, let us also remember to have respect for all those things and people that we take for granted at times while we are enjoying our beautiful lake.
The baby loons are late in hatching this year, please keep your keen eyes out for our precious babies!
While on the lake, be courteous to others using the waters....kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, swimmers, water skiers, tubers, floaters and fisher persons.
Jet skis.....please make sure you know the laws.
Same goes for Wake boats.... Own your Wake.
And then there are the fireworks....unfortunately the Outing Chamber of Commerce cancelled the show this year due to Covid-19. The reports are that more individuals are creating their own display. Remember, not everyone enjoys fireworks....be mindful of your surroundings where you shoot them off, the hours of the night, and that most are illegal in Minnesota!
