A record nineteen volunteers turned out for out semi-annual Highway 48 cleanup. The number is particularly impressive considering six “regulars" had to excuse themselves - the crew is growing. “Many hands made for short work” and the litter quantity was definitely down; both speak well of our neighborhood.
Participants included Jerry Anderson, Pam Braun, Ken Estvold, Sue Estvold, Glen Goodwin, Jackie Hagel, Bill Herrick, Vicki Lipstreuer, Lisa McCloud, Randy McCloud, Bill Pudwell, Barth Reding, Teresa Reding, Rick Snyder, Mark Stange, Susan Tyra, Brian Wheeler, Laurie Wolf, and Mark Wolf.
A fine turnout of seventeen volunteers on a bright sunny morning quickly cleared the entirety of Highway 48 from MN 6 to the end of the pavement.

Fourteen volunteers took on the semi-annual task of cleaning the County Road 48 roadsides September 1, 2018. The "many hands make short work" adage applied, as did the observation that there was much less to pick up than this past spring.
Helping Lake Washburn Association fulfill its commitment to the county were:
Jerry Anderson, Kathy Bochman, Hallie & Steve DeVries, Glen Goodwin, Jackie Hagel, Bill Herrick, Diana & Richard Huss, Vicki Lipstreuer, Ron Reich, Rick Snyder, Mark Stange, and Susan Tyra.
One never knows what one might "find" at this activity - Jerry Anderson and Bill Herrick teamed for one section and found that they had both worked at the same UNIVAC location several decades ago.
THANK YOU MARK STANGE for heading up this volunteer opportunity .
